A better workaround than downgrading to 2.4.18-14: echo "options maestro3 gpio_pin=1" >> /etc/modules.conf There is a kernel with a proposed fix in http://people.redhat.com/arjanv/testkernels An errata has been issued which should help the problem described in this bug report.
