Created attachment 555212 [details] Patch from Bug 705849 for CVE-2011-1777 Created attachment 555213 [details] Patch from Bug 705849 for CVE-2011-1778 (2nd version) Both attached patches apply cleanly against libarchive-2.8.4-3.el5. Double checked the details in Bug 705849#c4, which look correct imho: - CVE-2010-4666 is not relevant as libarchive-2.8.4 does not have .cab support. - CVE-2011-1779 the changes between the upstream version and .el5 are huge, there is little/no similarity of code changed by commit http://code.google.com/p/libarchive/source/detail?r=3038. libarchive-2.8.4-4.el5 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 5. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/libarchive-2.8.4-4.el5 libarchive-2.8.4-5.el5 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 5. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/libarchive-2.8.4-5.el5 Package libarchive-2.8.4-5.el5: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=epel-testing libarchive-2.8.4-5.el5' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2012-0697/libarchive-2.8.4-5.el5 then log in and leave karma (feedback). libarchive-2.8.4-5.el5 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 5 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
