Both attached patches apply cleanly against libarchive-2.8.4-3.el5.

Double checked the details in Bug 705849#c4, which look correct imho:
- CVE-2010-4666 is not relevant as libarchive-2.8.4 does not have .cab support.
- CVE-2011-1779 the changes between the upstream version and .el5 are huge, there
  is little/no similarity of code changed by commit
  http://code.google.com/p/libarchive/source/detail?r=3038.
