You're hanging on a stale lock, probably from killing rpm. Do rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db* to fix. |
Description of Problem: RPM just hangs getting stuck. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Unknown whatever the default version is for redhat 8. How Reproducible: It's happenning often, but can't figure out the routine that causes it to hang.
