Affects: Documentation (Ref Guide, User Guide, etc.), Release Notes
Date of First Response: 2008-01-10 04:28:17
project_key: SOA

I can reproduce this OutOfMemory error consistently, and it always occurs at the same spot.

2008-01-09 23:16:46,816 ERROR [STDERR] java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

I think the problem is with populating the soapui action with the results of the smooks transformation, but was not able to modify the quickstart and re-test.

From TomF:

"Document "-XX:MaxPermSize=128m" as a solution for now. "

See related link.

Comment 6 Joshua Wulf 2008-01-24 16:56:27 UTC
The current setting in run.conf for both standalone default and embedded production is "-XX:MaxPermSize=512m" so this workaround does not need to be implemented manually by the user.
