We need to provide a minimal slimmed down config for people who do not want the full range of functionality

To avoid a testing state explosion the number of possible combinations has to be reduced. We need to come up with the most minimal config that is useful and use that as a base to start from. Further variants might be added if customers request them.

Hi Trevor. so what are we going to do regarding this jira? Remove these demos that didt work or add dependencies that required by these failed demos or what?

We simply need to document what examples do run with "minimal".  This is expected since we removed parts of the ESB/SOA-P in order to slim the configuration.  
Ideally we'd update the base-build.xml to check the configuration and tell the user that ant deploy/ant run/ant runtest will not work for the minimal configuration.

So - for 4.3 - the 'fix' for this will be in documentation only?

Changed fixed-in to 4.3 GA - as the linked doc JIRA will be fixed for GA.
