Currently it is not possible to use POP3 gateway due to improper implementation of POP3 JCA adapter in JBoss AS

Raised SOA-1148 to track docs needed for 4.3 CP01.
Leaving this JIRA open until we get the fix, will need to document for subsequent releases until then

Presuming that this also affects the 5.x series, I have added the following draft comment to the Release Notes, based on the way it has been documented in the past:

    If using the POP3 protocol, mailbox polling will not work with the mail-ra.rar included in the
    standard server configurations. However, this functionality does work with the mail-ra.rar
    included with the Seam bundle.

    To use the POP3 gateway, replace the mail-ra.rar in ${SOA_ROOT}/server/${CONFIG}/
    deploy/ with the mail-ra.rar from the seam/mail/ directory.

Actually, as per IRC discussion with Len Di Maggio, this won't be in the 5.0GA  Release Notes as version number does not affect 5.0:
