This requires a separate discussion (again) on the debugging levels set in the various profiles. We have made one decision already for 4.3 GA and will not change it for this release.

Comment 2 David Le Sage 2010-02-10 05:52:53 UTC
Presuming that this issue also impacts on the 5.x series, the following Release Note has been drafted for the 5.0 GA:

https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/SOA-901

    If using the BusinessRulesProcessor, any problems in DRL and XLS files will cause decision
    tables to fail silently. (If using Groovy or other dynamic languages, the errror messages will
    show up in server console.) As a result, users will have to check the DEBUG section of the
    server.log instead. This is due to reduced levels of error logging in the deployment profiles.

Comment 3 David Le Sage 2010-02-11 04:43:52 UTC
Actually, as per IRC discussion with Len Di Maggio, this won't be in the 5.0GA Release Notes as version number does not affect 5.0:

<ldimaggi_> dlesage, I vote "out"
<ldimaggi_> dlesage, If the affects != 5.0, it's out
