Transaction Semantics
The InVM transport in JBossESB is not transactional and the message queue is held only in volatile
memory. 

ESB 4.4 Programmers Guide:
Transaction Semantics
The InVM transport in JBossESB 4.4 GA is volatile in nature but is still transactional.
