the kernel freezes after saying "checking the hlt instruction". but runs
fine when i lower the speed to 300mhz.

Is it overclocked?

nope it is not. it is a box packed intel proc. bus speed 100mhz x 4.5. so ineed
to lower the speed to 66 i think
