Programmers_Guide.pdf: Section 11.7 Webservices/SOAP SOAPProcessor

Needs to describe where the WSDL is located:
http://localhost:8080/contract
With the new port that is defined in the jboss-esb.xml

It should also refer to
http://localhost:8080/jbossws
as a mechanism for troubleshooting any project that is attempting to use this technique.

Please set the affects field.

Comment 2 Jervis Liu 2009-06-07 13:22:35 UTC
Programmers_Guide.pdf: Section 11.7 Webservices/SOAP SOAPProcessor has several problems problems:

1. The sequence of text is wrong. The text for SOAPProcessor is somehow mixed with text for SOAPClient. The correct sequence should be: 1. SOAPProcessor. 2. SOAPClient - WISE. 3. SOAPClient - SOAPUI
2. Current we support two type of SOAPClient. We should rename the first one from "SOAPClient" to "SOAPClient - WISE", rename the second one from "SOAPClient" to "SOAPClient - SOAPUI" to avoid any confusion.
3. The description of SOAPProcessor is not accurate. The most up-to-date text can be found from [1] (but we need to add the depencencies part that we already have in Programmers_Guide: Dependencies 1. JBoss Application Server
2. The soap.esb Service. This is available in the lib folder of the distribution.)

should we close SOA-1358 as a duplicate ?

Comment 5 Jervis Liu 2009-06-24 09:19:01 UTC
Hi Darrin, please feel free to close soa-1358 once you have the document updated. I created soa-1358 as the concrete task to actually update the document.

Comment 6 Dana Mison 2009-06-26 02:02:38 UTC
1 - corrected, copy/paste error on my behalf by the looks of it.
2 - sections renamed appropriately
3 - content has been updated as per http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/SOAPProcessor

"It should also refer to
http://localhost:8080/jbossws
as a mechanism for troubleshooting any project that is attempting to use this technique."

Can I have some more specifics on what content is required, and where

Comment 8 Jervis Liu 2009-06-29 08:53:08 UTC
I am not sure if it is appropriate to describe what http://localhost:8080/jbossws does in this guide. We have several dedicated wiki docs to describe how to run and debug JBOSS WS [1].

Anyway, one can access the URL http://localhost:8080/jbossws to check if his/her service has been deployed correctly. This URL returns all deployed web services. We can just mention this in the guide or we can say for more details about JBoss Web services, please refer to [1].
