    The Smooks instance manager was previously causing confusion as it featured functionality
    that allowed it to listen to JMS topics for configuration updates but this functionality was
    unsupported by Red Hat. The configuration listener functionality has now been removed.

This issue was actually addressed in 4.3 CP02.
