Description Dana Mison 2009-03-06 04:30:47 UTC
Affects: Documentation (Ref Guide, User Guide, etc.)
project_key: SOA

The database schema tool doesn't support the possibility of different components using different databases.

After the instructions for using the schema tool there needs to be details on how to update the config for each component.

These instructions should also include jBPM

Comment 3 Dana Mison 2011-02-24 23:45:06 UTC
using multiple databases for different SOA platform components is not a supported config

Comment 4 Dana Mison 2011-02-25 02:41:22 UTC
actually we need to ensure that it is clear in the schema tool instructions in the GSG that we only support using a single DB system at a time.

Comment 8 Jiri Pechanec 2011-04-21 12:43:52 UTC
My bad, documentation claims only that schema tool can be run only once. The documentation does not contain an information that only one database for all components is supported.

Comment 9 David Le Sage 2011-05-03 04:31:55 UTC
Thanks for picking up on that, Jiri. I have added an extra warning to that section of the book to clearly state that you cannot have different databases for different components.

Release Notes Text: Removed: Getting Started Guide backported from 5.1. It includes a clear warning about the database schema tool.
