project_key: SOA

Requesting documentation for creating custom gateways.

Should be able to take most of this wiki (especially the AbstractThreadedManagedLifecycle/AbstractManagedLifecycle Listener) as the basis for the documentation: http://www.jboss.org/community/wiki/WritingCustomListenersforJBossESB4x

Recommend that the documentation go in section 7 of programmer's guide, but don't have a strong preference.

Comment 1 Dana Mison 2009-10-08 04:02:24 UTC
is there any content from the wikipage (version 21) that is not correct or not appropriate for the SOA documentation?

or is there anything specific missing that should be included?

Also the wikipage has two TODO's at the bottom with the images.

Comment 2 Dana Mison 2009-11-18 02:01:18 UTC
Is this also content that should be added to the JBoss ESB Programmers Guide ?

Darrin and I are still waiting for information, as per the questions above. Please respond ASAP and we will complete this task.

Comment 4 Aaron Pestel 2010-01-27 03:15:10 UTC
Who are you waiting for information from?

Comment 5 David Le Sage 2010-01-27 04:59:16 UTC
Hello Aaron,

We assume that it is Tom Fennelly, as he wrote the Wiki page... :-)

Thanks,

David

Comment 6 Tom Fennelly 2010-01-27 09:08:28 UTC
Sorry...

So I think you have 2 questions:

1. Q: Is there any incorrect content in there.
1. A: No. None that I am aware of.

2. Q: What about the TODOs.
2. A: Ignore them. People have been able to make good use of the existing docs without any issue, so I assume they are not essential.

Link: Added: This issue is related to SOA-921

Comment 8 David Le Sage 2010-02-01 05:48:19 UTC
The Wiki information has now been added to the Programmers' Guide as section 7.2.5.
