Link: Added: This issue is a dependency of JBDS-1554 Link: Added: This issue incorporates TEIIDDES-877 Link: Added: This issue relates to JBIDE-8732 Link: Added: This issue duplicates SOA-2661 Link: Removed: This issue duplicates SOA-2661 Link: Added: This issue Cloned from SOA-2658 Link: Removed: This issue Cloned from SOA-2658 Link: Added: This issue duplicates SOA-2658 This is an ongoing effort. We will continue to plug away at productization concerns with the JBDS/SOA tooling split. The items discussed include product examples, welcome screen, runtime detection, and setting the initial preference settings. So though this effort is more than just the welcome screen/create wizards effort described here. Though some of the issues were resolved, this won't truly be dealt with until the JBDS 5/SOA split happens after SOA-P 5.2 is available and we're working on SOA-P 6. We will have much more control over welcome screen content and other productization issues at that time.

Attempting to switch perspectives when creating certain projects does not work. When creating new Teiid, jBPM and ESB projects, the user can only view them in the Seam perspective.
The associated JIRAs are closed; so I think this is fixed. Moving to ON_QA to verify in 5.0.0.CR1.

Verified fixed in: JBDS: Version: 5.0.1.GA Build id: v20120715-0533-H232-GA Build date: 20120715-0533 Tooling (GA build): http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/updates/development/5.0.0.GA.soa-tooling/ Tested on JBDS 5.0.1.GA-H232 with SOA Tooling 5.0.0.GA-H18: Not working for jBPM3 I think that the problem that Andrej is seeing is that when the user creates a new jBPM3 project, he is not moved into the jBPM perspective. Instead, the user remains in the same perspective from which he created the jBPM project. This is a different bug from the original bug for which this bugzilla was logged. Andrej - can you log a new bugzilla for this new issue? It's not a blocker for the release of the tooling or for SOA-P 5.3, but it could result in some user confusion as creating other projects (e.g., BPEL) do give the user the option of moving to that new project's perspective. |
