Hi Nikolai!
Thank you for your report. I know this problem. I ask to developer to release a new version of akonadi-googledata, I am still waiting...
I rewrite to upstream to have a new release otherwise I will try to create a new package from subversioning hoping to resolve this problem.

Thank you!

Hi Mario, do have any estimate when this update is due?
Just wondering,

Nikolai

Hi Nikolai, I write to upstream. He told to me to wait a new package...but I am waiting from months an update...

So I am creating a new package of a new project: akonadi-google. It is similar to akonadi-googledata but is written in C++ and the developer are really active.
I can say to you just to wait a new update or the new package akonadi-google to be included in fedora repo (depends on the review process).

I am sorry...

Nikolai, I can't close this bug without an update from upstream, you can choose another software now in update-testing: akonadi-google data:

WOW...Mario thnx a lot. Your solution works as it should be is this day and age - easily setup and forget about it.
Thank you for your time and effort.

Using the new akonadi google package from updates testing and it works perfect for me.

Comment 8 just18 2012-01-30 12:00:30 UTC
I have to add something, I'm not 100% sure that it is a akonadi google related Problem, but since I installed it from the testing repository my wifi connection seems to crash. It is still shown as online but either dhcp nur udp/tcp are getting through. I have to disable and reconnect to make it work again. I really have no idea how the akonadi plugin could cause it. But it seems it is. If I stop akonadi server completely my internet connection is stable. There is nothing about it in dmesg or /var/log/messages.

Comment 9 Mario Santagiuliana 2012-01-30 12:09:48 UTC
Thank you for you report just18.
This thread is for akonadi-googledata package, not akonadi-google.
If you think that your problem is related to akoandi-google package, please open a new bug.

Thank you.

Ok, just to clear it up, the wifi bug isn't related to akonadi/google at all. It is a Kernel 3.2.2 bug. Was just about the same time I updated the kernel and akonadi ressources.
