Description Dan Matulescu 2012-01-17 09:42:49 UTC
Description of problem:

Hello,

I have subscribed from the trial Red Hat Virtualization 3 and I am unable to add the red hat channels which allow me to install rhevm.

Here is the command that i issued

rhn-channel -v -u dan.matulescu -a -c rhel-x86_64-server-6-beta -c rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3-beta -c rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3-jboss-5-beta -c rhel-x86_64-server-supplementary-6-beta -c rhel-x86_64-server-supplementary-6

The answer is:

Error Class Code: 71
Error Class Info:
You do not have subscription permission to the designated channel.
Please refer to your organisation's channel or organization administrators for further details.

Additional info:

In my red hat accounts it says:

Thank you for your request. It appears that you have already activated an evaluation of 60-day Unsupported Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization for Servers (1 Socket) Evaluation. Please contact sales for more information.

Please help me with this issue.

Best regards,
Dan Matulescu

Comment 2 Milan Zázrivec 2012-01-17 10:03:48 UTC
There's not much I can do about this problem in rhn-client-tools really.

The error message you're showing is propagated to the client from server
and there's not much the client can do about it but to display it.

May I suggest to:

1. Find out which channel exactly is causing this problem (i.e. try the
channel subscription one-by-one) and
2. Contact Red Hat support (if that's an option) with this problem.

I'm sorry I cannot be of any more help, but since this report does not
describe an issue in rhn-client-tools, I'm gonna have to close it.
