Description Ed Santiago 2012-01-20 11:25:20 UTC
The sos specfile defines this URL in its metadata:

   URL: http://sos.108.redhat.com/

That address does not respond (to ping, to http).

Comment 1 Bryn M. Reeves 2012-01-20 12:12:29 UTC
Thanks; there's a bunch of other strings (email addresses, URLs etc.) that we should update at the same time.

I'll also check the sos-2.2 tree (more up to date but I think still some stale stuff there too) and clone this bug as necessary.

Comment 2 RHEL Program Management 2012-06-12 01:15:24 UTC
This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for
inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the
current release, Red Hat is unfortunately unable to address this
request at this time. Red Hat invites you to ask your support
representative to propose this request, if appropriate and relevant,
in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 3 Bryn M. Reeves 2014-01-23 15:25:20 UTC
A lot of other UI text / metadata is out-of-date in RHEL5's sos-1.7. I am tempted to use this bug to updated the rest of this and bring it as close to RHEL6/7 as possible - in particular the UI preamble that is displayed in interactive mode could use an update (and there's probably more misleading information in the man page).
