Description of problem:

Hello, I've got f16 with compiz going.
Problem: I want to remove a shortcut from my menu (top of screen).
Right click on menu bar --- nothing

Added “alacarte” - try to run & it crashes – says there is no gmenu:

Added “compiz” items – try to run compiz-manager – 
First try: Crash – screen freezes
Second try after restart -- get the following:
