What do you get when you run the following in a console? gconftool-2 --get /apps/SoundConverter/last-used-folder Post steps on how to reproduce this, please. I've added a guess at https://bugs.launchpad.net/soundconverter/+bug/921515 but I'd like to learn about the exact usage scenario. mp3 -> wav; unknown sample rate -> 48k Package: soundconverter-1.5.4-11.fc16 OS Release: Fedora release 16 (Verne) It's more of a user mistake, but a problem in the code nevertheless. Test-case: $ rm ~/.local/share/recently-used.xbel $ gconftool-2 --unset /apps/SoundConverter/last-used-folder $ soundconverter Then click "Add File" (right pane of filechooser dialog should be empty) and the "Open" button afterwards. soundconverter-1.5.4-12.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/soundconverter-1.5.4-12.fc16 Package soundconverter-1.5.4-13.fc16: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
