Description Andre 2002-11-23 21:32:26 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 Galeon/1.2.3 (X11; Linux i686; U;) Gecko/20020528

Description of problem:
With an Ensoniq ES1370 AudioPCI soundcard, if I start an audio CD playing, and
then run gnome-volume-control the CD audio stops. No control brings it back.
The only solution I have found to get the CD audio sound back is to unload and
then reload the es1370 module.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Put in audio CD, start it playing with cdplay (audio starts)
2.run gnome-volume-control

Actual Results: CD sound stops as soon as gnome-volume-control is run. Nothing
in gnome-volume-control seems to bring it back.

Expected Results: The CD audio slider should control the sound.

Additional info:

Versions I have are: kernel-2.4.18-18.8.0, gnome-media-2.0.0-9. Also my cd
player is a TOSHIBA SD-R1202 dvd/cdrw using the sr_mod driver.

One thing I forgot to mention -- gmix from gnome-media-1.2.3-4 (RedHat 7.3)
still works just fine.

Changing to MoveUpstream keyword instead of GnomeUpstream tracking bug.
sorry about the spam.

I have the exact same problem I've added my comments to the gnome bugzilla site.
