Description David M. 2012-01-28 00:19:21 UTC
My Computer cannot print anything, either to the printer, or to a file.

Installed Packages:

ghostscript.x86_64 9.04-7.fc16

ghostscript-cups.x86_64 9.04-7.fc16

ghostscript-debuginfo.x86_64 9.04-7.fc16

ghostscript-doc.noarch 9.04-7.fc16

ghostscript-fonts.noarch 5.50-27.fc16

How reproducible:

Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any document using any editor / viewer
2. Try to "print preview", or "print to file" or "print to HP laserjet"

Actual results:

Printing jobs are canceled, nothing is rendered to the screen.

Expected results:

Printer prints jobs, jobs are written to disk as PDF, or rendered to screen.

If are you not even able to "Print to file" or "Print preview", something is going wrong in the application. As it happens for several editors and viewers you have tried, it is most likely a GTK+ issue. Changing component.

Comment 3 David M. 2012-01-31 04:46:50 UTC
Thank you for changing the component.

I did a little troubleshooting. The Fedora 16 x64 & i386 live CD's both have this same problem.

I loaded an old Fedora 15 x64 Live CD and printing worked fine. Please let me know if there is any more information you need to help identify the bug.

The problem no longer seems to be happening, I'm marking it as works-for-me unless I run into the problem again.
