Please install kernel-debug and see if further output is seen. There was another user that had problems with hangs and it was assigned to nouveau to start with. (On my Vaio it took about 15 minutes, it may take longer/shorter depending on your specific hardware). I did not wait (I hit the reset button after a minute or two) so I don't know if the behavior would have been different. I will try using kernel-debug to see if anything else is logged. I was unable to reproduce the problem with kernel-debug. I can easily reproduce with 3.6.7-4.fc17.i686.PAE, however. I found that adding acpi=off eliminates the delay. This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '16'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life.
