Description of problem:
Segfault when testing sound

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
[psklenar@masox sound]$ rpm -qf `which gnome-volume-control`

How reproducible:
deterministic and hw lenovo, t61


Steps to Reproduce:
0. after +-24 hours I have no sound on my lenovo t61, after reboot al is working properly -> have no idea what's the reason and where to search for

1. gnome-volume-control
2. hardware > setting for selected device:
3. have a whatever here, for ex Digital Stereo Duplex (IE958)
