If you try doing the same thing again, does it also fail in the same way?  Can you get it to fail that way again?

Tried a couple of times but was unable to reproduce the problem. 

However, when I got this problem I had been adding, removing both local and network printers so perhaps that could be related.

system-config-printer-1.3.8-4.fc16, python-cups-1.9.60-2.fc16 has been pushed
to the Fedora 16 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make
note of it in this bug report.
