Description Zdenek Kabelac 2012-02-03 16:20:25 UTC
This bug still applies for latest rawhide package.

dconf-0.11.2-2.fc17.x86_64

What is so hard to add support for removal of obsoleted objects ?

How do I get rid of them ?

Is there any workaround - i.e. my gnome-panel has 20 objects that cannot be removed (unless I would probably remove whole config)

+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #701756 +++

Description of problem:
Entries in dconf-editor can only be change or cleared, not removed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
dconf-editor-0.7.3-2.i686

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install dconf-editor
2. Run dconf-editor
3. Go to desktop | gnome | remote-access

Actual results:
Can not remove alternative-port

Expected results:
Can remove alternative-port

Additional info:
I am just using alternative-port as an example. What I would actually like to do is say remove a launcher, or anything that is optional instead of required.

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2013-04-03 16:09:08 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Comment 2 Matthias Clasen 2013-05-31 01:33:25 UTC
This is not a feature that dconf provides.
See https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=700819 for more or less the same request
