No artefact was recovered from the failed installation(s). Spent half a day and about 6 installation trials till I gave up...

I did research on the Internet and found something related here:

http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=248023&page=2

It is about the same I/O error, though in my case I was not using RAID at all. It was just new fast SSD connected on Marwell 9182 Sata III controller.

When I reconnected the SSD to Intel P67 SATA III ports, the installation went OK on the first try.

Tried latest Fedora 17 Alpha with SSD on Marwell port, similar problem (thousands of I/O errors "Cannot commit journal").

It is more likely related to kernel driver than to the installation process.

We really can't do anything without logs.
