Description Mike McCune 2012-02-06 23:05:08 UTC
Currently there is no way to install gofer and thus the katello-agent from brew because there exists no python-gofer in brew.

https://brewweb.devel.redhat.com/search?match=glob&type=package&terms=python-gofer

we need this somewhere in brew so we can test the katello-agent.

It's in brew, it's a subpackage of gofer:
https://brewweb.devel.redhat.com/buildinfo?buildID=197013

The subpackages don't show up on a just a plain package search of brew. That build of gofer that built python-gofer (0.64) is tagged for se-rhel-6-candidate:

/home/jslagle/code/pulp $ brew latest-pkg se-rhel-6-candidate gofer
Build Tag Built by
---------------------------------------- -------------------- ----------------
gofer-0.64-1.el6 se-rhel-6-candidate jslagle

I'm not sure why it's not showing up in your yum repo. Is there a whitelist that is used to build a yum repo for that tag that python-gofer needs to get added to? I'm not sure how things get from the brew tag to the SE yum repo, but I can check with shughes tomorrow.

forgot about sub-packages.

we have it in our repos, I just for some reason missed it when I was looking earlier.

CLOSING, NOTABUG.
