Comment 1 shylesh 2012-02-07 07:06:53 UTC
On plain distribute i create a file "hello", after i convert the volume to stripe above created file was not visible , so tried to create the file with same name again but failed saying
"
[root@RHEL6 shylesh-mount]# >hello
-bash: hello: No such file or directory
"

Comment 2 Amar Tumballi 2012-02-08 12:34:21 UTC
have to come up with a valid matrix for volume type changes. Stripe count changes are not normally not supported.

Comment 3 Amar Tumballi 2012-02-18 10:49:04 UTC
Will be not supported volume type change. Marking it as DP for now (documentation pending)

Comment 4 Anand Avati 2012-03-29 14:55:54 UTC
CHANGE: http://review.gluster.com/3034 (cli: give warning to user in add-brick if stripe count given) merged in master by Vijay Bellur (vijay)

Comment 5 Amar Tumballi 2012-03-30 03:03:39 UTC
marking as known issue. Currently added a CLI warning for this configuration. Not going to fix the behavior.
