Further investigation showed that this is unrelated to iscsi_name. It is actually due to the presence (or lack thereof) of the local_boot parameter. If not specified, the step that would actually install the image and reboot the host would not run. Note: upgrade is an alias for local_boot and would fix this issue as well. Patch posted upstream to: http://gerrit.ovirt.org/1707 Technical note added. If any revisions are required, please edit the "Technical Notes" field accordingly. All revisions will be proofread by the Engineering Content Services team. New Contents: -- no tech note required Now, neither the local_boot or upgrade parameters are required for autoinstall, but firstboot or reinstall is required for autoinstall. Check details in 788225. Verified on 6.3-20120330, autoinstall with BOOTIF storage_init firstboot/reinstall is successfully. Set bug status to verified. Deleted Technical Notes Contents. Old Contents: -- no tech note required Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
