Description of problem:

Uniqueness constraint on product names in candlepin currently doesn't allow Katello to create multiple custom products with the same name in different Orgs.

After discussion on mailing list and irc channel, removing the constraint is seen as the simplest way of solving the problem.

This constraint causes serious troubles in Katello when creating product with the same name for more organizations.

Tomas,

I have a patch for this, but it does not support renaming products since the new product name will not be copied down to existing pools. Is this ok?

This is ok. We don't support product renaming since we use product names for generating repoids in Pulp.
