This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. Description of problem: I'm trying to play mkv's on my machine. Running fedora 16 kde spin-off opening with VLC : system crashes, does a recovery of some sort and i have to relogin (aka start a new player) same thing when opening with dragonplayer now if i open it with totem (dolphin>right click>open with>movie player) it does show the video, everything works up untill a certain moment where it crashes if full screen, everything goes down, cant move mouse anymore, no video but the sound is still working, so my first guess was a vcard problem but then if i dont do it fullscreen i cant quit the app, mouse and screen still work, cannot kill it with any of the termsigs, its just there using 100% of 1 of my cores, so either it respawns (but i thought it would have a different PID) or something is messed up with the process so i cant kill it either way, if i run it in command-line with /usr/bin/totem path/to/the/video.mkv everything works nothing crashes (not sure about fullscreen yet) the only thing that does appear to be connected with it is GLib-GIO-Message: Using the 'memory' GSettings backend.
