Description shylesh 2012-02-13 06:48:38 UTC
Description of problem:
Adding duplicate bricks to a volume is possible

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mainline

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a volume with a brick say brick path is "/export/sda/brick1"
2.add-brick with extra slash in the path "/export/sda//brick1"

Actual results:
These two are considered as two seperate bricks and will be allowed, the side effect is "any file created on the mount pointed will appear twice upon ls"

Expected results:
Should not allow to add duplicate bricks

This is fixed by http://review.gluster.com/3315, and is in only master branch.

Comment 2 Amar Tumballi 2012-06-01 06:53:47 UTC
the bug fix is only in upstream, not in release-3.3. Hence moving it out of the ON_QA, and setting MODIFIED (as a standard practice @ Red Hat)
