Description of problem:

If Tomboy is running (on screen or in the background) when a logout or shutdown is requested then about 30 seconds is added to the logout time.

this issue has been already reported on ubuntu, see also:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tomboy/+bug/880299

and fixed with the following patch:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-branches/ubuntu/oneiric/tomboy/oneiric-updates/view/head:/debian/patches/32_logout_delay.patch

this patch should also implemented be implemented in fedora16.

tomboy-1.8.3-2.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16.

Package tomboy-1.8.3-2.fc16:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing tomboy-1.8.3-2.fc16'
as soon as you are able to.
