Description Petr Pisar 2012-02-14 15:32:24 UTC
I'm just fixing wmweather+ package which compiles against wraster library. The build fails because it build-requires WindowMaker-devel but no wraster header file is provided by WindowMaker-devel.

Studying WindowMaker changelog, I found you have obsoleted WindowMaker-devel by WindowMaker, but you moved WindoMaker-devel files into new WINGs-devel sub-package.

I think the Provides: WindowMaker-devel should be moved into WINGs-devel sub-package.

Actually this is not quite true. The wraster devel files have been in WINGs-devel before. It is rather that WindowMaker-devel had a Require on WINGS-devel and thus everything was fine. AFAIK historically there was no WINGs* subpackages but rather a monolithic wmaker package. wmweather+ deps have not been updated thus it was still requiring WindowMaker-devel.

I think providing WindowMaker-devel in WINGS would be wrong. I will have a look through the other packages requiring WindowMaker-devel and update the deps accordingly.
