xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.3-4.20120201git36c190671.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.3-4.20120201git36c190671.fc16 I've posted an update for -ati with new PCI Ids in it, should work for this. I think is need update in kernel. I think kernel 3.2.6 should have the bits already. Package xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.3-4.20120201git36c190671.fc16: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.3-4.20120201git36c190671.fc16' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-1712/xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.3-4.20120201git36c190671.fc16 then log in and leave karma (feedback). new package didn`t help. I use D-Sub (my monitor CRT has only D-sub) on bug 733857 A S Alam says: "Fedora 17 - DVI output correct, VGA no output on screen." Has Fedora a support for HDMI(motherboard has only vga and hdmi) with this APU? I have by new monitor next month. sorry *I will buy new monitor next month. xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.14.3-4.20120201git36c190671.fc16 has been pushed to the Fedora 16 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. A couple comments on this: 1) Isn't this fix a catch 22? If you don't have the fix, you can't install a base system from scratch; If you haven't installed a base system, you can't get the fix. Seems to me this fix would have to be pushed into the base ISO images to be of any use. Although enabling the VGA output is useful. 2) The fix DOES NOT resolve the associated issue of "blank screen after resume from suspend/hibernate". That issue seems associated with the ati driver output selection as well since the OS seems to come up normally after a resume and can be accessed from the network, the screen is just "off". |
