Description Og Maciel 2012-02-14 22:45:47 UTC
Description of problem:

<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, need some help with mirroring, sync, subscription
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, want to take it offline or here?
<thomasmckay> OgMaciel: here is better, since i don't know much about the mirroring, sync stuff
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, I have a CSFE provider which has a SystemEngine product with a Beta2 repository pointing to, you guessed, the repo for our beta 2
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, this content was synced and promoted to Development env
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, a rhel 6.2 client was subscribed to it
* bbuckingham is now known as bbuckinghamout
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, I then realized I also needed the repository for the katello-agent, which lives in a separate repo
* bbuckinghamout is now known as bbuckingham-out
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, so I added a new Agent repository to my existing SystemEngine product
<thomasmckay> OgMaciel: sounds good so far
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, and synced, promoted to Development
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, ok, now back in the client
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, subscription-manager refresh
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, yum repolist
<thomasmckay> that's what i'd do, yes
<OgMaciel> NYDateCenter_SystemEngine_Beta2 | 2.3 kB 00:00
<OgMaciel> rhel-6-server-rpms | 3.7 kB 00:00
<OgMaciel> repo id repo name status
<OgMaciel> NYDateCenter_SystemEngine_Beta2 Beta2 252
<OgMaciel> rhel-6-server-rpms Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Server (RPMs) 6,840
<OgMaciel> repolist: 7,092
<OgMaciel> where is NYDateCenter_SystemEngine_Agent?
* tstrachota has quit (Ping timeout: 615 seconds)
<OgMaciel> yum install katello-agent fails with: No package katello-agent available.
<OgMaciel> thomasmckay, the new repository does not show up in the client
<thomasmckay> i'd say you should get the debug key and browse the pulp repos
<OgMaciel> therefore it doesn't know how to get the agent
<thomasmckay> make sure it's there
<thomasmckay> (btw, i don't know how to do that)
<OgMaciel> ls -l /var/lib/pulp/repos/NYDateCenter/Development/custom/SystemEngine/Agent/katello-agent-0.13-2.el6.noarch.rpm
<OgMaciel> lrwxrwxrwx. 1 apache apache 98 Feb 14 17:20 /var/lib/pulp/repos/NYDateCenter/Development/custom/SystemEngine/Agent/katello-agent-0.13-2.el6.noarch.rpm -> ../../../../../../packages/katello-agent/0.13/2.el6/noarch/d13/katello-agent-0.13-2.el6.noarch.rpm

It's the same scenario as in bug 755675.
