Description Jason Haar 2012-02-15 21:32:59 UTC
Description of problem:

Since the last remmina upgrade, I have routinely (but not continually) found the keyboard stops working when remmina was running. I wouldn't even need to be in a terminal server session - I could be sitting on a different virtual desktop and find that the focus wouldn't be on the current app, and I couldn't jump between virtual desktops. I only use remmina for RDP - so it could be remmina-plugins-rdp at fault

Using Ctrl-Alt-F2 works, and killing remmina from a console would fix the problem

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

remmina-0.9.3-3.fc15.x86_64
remmina-plugins-rdp-0.9.2-4.fc15.x86_64

How reproducible:

sporadic - but I had it happen twice in one hour today

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run remmina, rdp into a box
2. wait
3. sometimes I move to an app on any virtual desktop and find the focus didn't move with me - and basically the keyboard no longer works. I also cannot move to another desktop at the point. I can start new apps, but don't have focus on them either

Actual results:

Expected results:

Additional info:

.xsessions-errors contains

Window manager warning: CurrentTime used to choose focus window; focus window may not be correct.
Window manager warning: Got a request to focus 0x1a00004 (Desktop) with a timestamp of 0. This shouldn't happen!

From that I guessed it was remmina - killing it fixed the problem

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2012-08-07 15:50:49 UTC
This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you
would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it
against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on
"Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that
version of Fedora.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
