These L&F issues were founded during manual browser compatibility testing of EPP 4.3 CP02. All issues are related to Windows environment with Internet Explorer. Issues 1,2,3 were related to Internet Explorer 7 and 8. Issues 4,5,6 are related to IE6.

1) Portlets in dashboard in edit mode don't look good in IE8 (Screenshot ie8-portlet-in-edit-mode.png, ie8-mapple-theme) Happens in IE8, 7, 6. Issue happens in maple and renewal theme and with default or 3columns layout (thinner screen).

2) L&F issue - bad portlet drawing in 3-column layout in very special cases in IE7

login as admin
create a new page in dashboard, select 3-column layout and add these three portlets in this order to the right column:
1. normal porlet : WSRP admin portlet
2. netvibes portlet : Mixx - Most Popular
3. filesystem : dir1/bar.txt

when you look into page you should see something like in attached screenshot (dashboard_badcss.png)

3) In attached 3col_portletadmin.png you can see another mistake rendering of labels next to icons is overlapping. the problem is in IE7, in FF the page is rendered correctly

4) Drag and drop in IE6 not functional. once you move all portlets to the left side, you are unable to move them back to right side.

5) Industrial and Maple themes don't look good in IE6 (screenshots ie6-industrial.png, ie6-maple.png)

6) IE6 - very strange behavior. After clicking on some link to some page, default theme is not rendered correctly. but! after refresh, everything is fine again. this behavior happens with some other themes as well.

Comment 9 Prabhat Jha 2009-08-19 20:16:17 UTC
It will be better to get started on this early so that we have enough time to verify across working browsers.

Has anyone found a solution to the Internet Explorer 6,7,8 issues? We are planning an implementation and are researching this same issue.
Thanks for any information that can be provided.
