Remember me feature doesn't work correctly

Comment 1 Ján Jamrich 2010-11-02 16:31:20 UTC
Still occurs in EPP-5.1.0-ER3 on IE7, IE8 and chrome (on Windows) as well.

Comment 2 Thomas Heute 2010-11-12 08:43:50 UTC
Tentatively set for 5.1.0 CR01

Comment 3 Thomas Heute 2010-11-12 12:44:02 UTC
Marko and I couldn't reproduce it. Worked fine with IE8. Would be good to check again with ER04

Comment 4 Marko Strukelj 2010-11-12 13:21:12 UTC
I've noticed that 'Remember me' only works for the duration of the session. I can return with a new browser window in 2 minutes for example and I'm automatically logged in. But if I return in half an hour, I'm redirected to Login form.

This is not exactly the way I intuitively expect 'Remember me' should behave. IMHO it should not be limited to the session.

Comment 5 Thomas Heute 2010-11-12 13:34:27 UTC
Yep this is broken then, my test was limited.
But does that really only happen in IE ?

Comment 6 Marko Strukelj 2010-11-12 13:45:06 UTC
No, it happens in all browsers.

Comment 7 Thomas Heute 2010-11-12 17:58:40 UTC
The remember me feature was actually broken for all users.
To correctly test the feature you need to test that the session times out (30 min is the default)
