Description Michal Vanco 2010-10-19 13:06:00 UTC
project_key: JBEPP

I'm not able to add any gadget on dashboard.

And when I try to add gadget on dashboard get about 10+ alerts.

There is content of first alert (when adding calculator on dashboard):
ERROR: There was an unexpected Alert! [SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL : eXo.gadget.UIGadget.createGadget('http://localhost:8080/rest/jcr/repository/portal-system/production/app:gadgets/app:Calculator/app:data/app:resources/Calculator.xml','content-dbc62042-b2aa-49e2-9d9d-efbbee239a9c', {"gadgets":[{"userPrefs":{},"iframeUrl":"?container=&amp -- 3]

It was also reproduced with UI tests: http://hudson.qa.jboss.com/hudson/view/EPP5/job/epp5_ui_selenium_tests_windows_chrome/lastCompletedBuild/testReport

Comment 2 Michal Vanco 2010-10-19 16:35:20 UTC
I have the same issue also at IE7 and IE8.

I'm not able to see content of gadgets and I get lot of alerts.

Comment 3 Michal Vanco 2010-10-22 22:16:09 UTC
Same behavior is at Safari 4 as well.

Comment 4 Ján Jamrich 2010-10-26 09:52:06 UTC
On IE7 still not work. Tested on EPP-5.1.0-ER3.

Comment 5 Ján Jamrich 2010-10-26 17:58:06 UTC
On IE8 gadgets work correctly, on FF3.5 and 3.6 (all on Windows) works correctly too. So I found problem only on IE7 from browser I have been tested.

Comment 6 Thomas Heute 2010-10-27 09:49:59 UTC
Jan, you forgot to mention what issue you face on IE7, any JS error that you see ?

Comment 7 Ján Jamrich 2010-10-27 21:58:48 UTC
I have tested it again, and seem that everything works correctly.
I had tried users "root" and "mary", and create my own names for tabs, and all gadgets worked correctly - drag&drop gadget as well as functionality inside gadget.

So, I think this issues is fixed for IE7 too. I don't know how is it possible that it didn't work for me yesterday - even I try to be careful about versions of EPP (I'm quite sure I didn't test it with ER2...)

(And note at the end - yes, issue was JS alerts appearing immediately after dropping gadget on some place, and after tons of JS alerts cofirmed and empty "window" for gadget appear - without content).

Comment 8 Michal Vanco 2010-10-29 12:55:28 UTC
Now I verified with Safari 4.0.4 on MAC and it doesn't work and any gadget isn't displayed.
I'm getting couple of JS alerts after DnD of gadget on dashboard.
Note: it's not happening with the first gadget, but with second, third etc...

Is this issue resolved?
The last comment suggests it is still appearing in certain circumstances.
