++ This bug is a clone of bug 793515 ++

- go to dashboard, click edit page
- click on edit icon in dashboard portlet
- change the number of columns to 3 (default value is 2) and click save
- in page editor click on abort button and leave without saving changes
- go to dashboard, it has 3 columns now

Those operations are atomic by design - revert only refers to rearranging portlets in a page.
