Description Scott Mumford 2010-11-12 04:16:10 UTC
project_key: JBEPP

Supported database information has been removed from the EPP Reference Guide.
The Supported Database table found in the Installation Guide is now the single, in-doc source for this information.

The table needs to be updated with new information relevant to 5.1 (and marked accordingly).

Comment 1 Scott Mumford 2010-11-12 04:19:20 UTC
This table has been separated into EPP 5.0 and 5.1 specific sections.

Entries for Oracle 11g R2 and Oracle 11g R2 RAC have been added to the 5.1 section.

These new entries require version numbers.

Affects: Removed: Documentation (Ref Guide, User Guide, etc.)

Comment 3 Jared MORGAN 2012-03-07 21:47:34 UTC
The table is a prime example of data that should not be maintained separately to the information available on the redhat customer sites.

I have removed the database table completely and linked it to the supported and verified database tables on redhat.com

Supported Installations

For the latest information on supported JBoss Enterprise Portal Platform technology combinations, refer to http://www.jboss.com/products/platforms/portals/testedconfigurations/.

</snip>

^^ that link gives customers all the information they need on supported database tables.

If the information changes, then the information *at the link* should be updated so there isn't a disconnect between information sources. One canonical source.
