Comment 1 Prabhat Jha 2010-12-06 20:16:57 UTC
Please take a look at this table https://docspace.corp.redhat.com/docs/DOC-52269 . I think doc needs to have a table with 3 columns and following structure:

"Richfaces Component" "Supported as Local Portlet" "Supported as Remote Portlet using WSRP"
   commandButton check mark check mark
   calendar check mark X
   editor check mark X
....
...

where

check mark implies working
X implies not working or pls other symbol so that it is consistent with rest of docs.

Prabhat,
I've stared this table. Only using three columns seems a little over-simplified for the data present in the original?
As a result I'm working under the assumption that anything that does not have 'ok' across all columns is considered to not be working (I'm using simple Yes and No to indicate working or not).

I've added it to a new section in the Reference guide as below but it can be moved easily if needs be.

13.3.2. RichFaces Setup and Configuration Options
   13.3.2.1. web.xml
13.3.2.2. Simple RichFaces vs RichFaces over WSRP <= New table

Let me know your thoughts and I'll finish it off and stage it for review asap.

moved to 5.1.docs.ga... needs to be fixed for this release...

Comment 6 Scott Mumford 2010-12-15 07:07:10 UTC
This table has been added to the EPP Reference Guide:
http://documentation-stage.bne.redhat.com/docs/en-US/JBoss_Enterprise_Portal_Platform/5.1/html-single/Reference_Guide/index.html#sect-Reference_Guide-Bridge_Configuration-RichFaces_Setup_and_Configuration_Options

Need technical verification based on issues raised in comment above (11/Dec/10)

Comment 7 Prabhat Jha 2010-12-15 16:26:42 UTC
Scott, the table looks good. Can you please add a section titled

Header: Configuration needed for Richfaces to work with WSRP and PortletBridge

Content: Pls copy paste https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBQA-3999?focusedCommentId=12565128&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-12565128

Table should follow after this section.

Comment 8 Scott Mumford 2010-12-16 01:03:40 UTC
Thanks Prabhat,

The new content has been added and will be staged in Reference Guide version 1-4.4
