Customer request for floating portlets

The requirement was that user should be able to easily "detach" a single portlet into a separate popup window. User could then continue browsing the portal to another location.

In our case we have portlet called "Site" which displays site information. The user would like to see this portlet all the time even when he is doing something else with the portal. Because "Site" is not usually desired to be visible all the times it doesn't make sense to embed in every possible page where the user would like to refer to it.
