The changes applied to 02portal.war/WEB-INF/web.xml as a result of the fix for JBEPP-486 also need to be applied to the web.xml files contained in the sample portal. The filter mapping element for the GenericFilter has to be the last one in the list:

I am reopening, because it's fixed only for sample-portal but it's not fixed for ecmdemo. I looked inside ZIP bundle with EPP-5.1.1.Dev01 with wcm 2.1.4. Exact location is jboss-epp-5.1.1.DEV01-wcm-2.1.4.zip#jboss-epp-5.1/jboss-as/server/default/deploy/gatein-ecmdemo-portal-2.1.4.ear/ecmdemo.war/WEB-INF/web.xml .
