Description Viliam Rockai 2011-10-19 13:01:17 UTC
++ This bug is a clone of bug 794249 ++

Affects: Release Notes
project_key: JBEPP

In edit page, edit properties for the dashboard portlet, for the "edit mode" tab, number of columns input, you have extra save button in the form and close button in the edit portlet window. this is different to other portlets, where you have "save and close" button in the window only and makes you unable to change all the properties (in more tabs) and save with one button.

when you set more then 4 columns you have an error message, which is not clear (Invalid number format in field "Number of columns".), instead of that a message telling the specific restriction for the field (like "number of columns must be minimum of 1 and maximum of 4") would be better.

Release Notes Docs Status: Added: Documented as Known Issue
Release Notes Text: Added: The dashboard portlet contains unnecessary Save buttons in the form, and is not consistent with the UI design of other portlets. Additionally, the error message displayed when more than four columns are added to the portlet ( Invalid number format in field "Number of columns") is not intuitive to the user. A fix is being investigated.
