If the user name does not exist or the user name and/or password is invalid you are redirected to the GateIn Sign In form. You have to click back button of the browser or write an URL again if you want to continue in browsing portal in anonymous mode.
It  would be more user friendly when for example some alert message will be shown and you'll stay on the same portal page.
