Execute
$ restorecon -R -v /root/.my.cnf
This will not happen with a new policy.

Add mysqld_home_t for ~/.my.cnf
Add unit file support to mysqld
I have the most recent selinux policy that has been in the yum repository to date; selinux-policy-3.10.0-75.fc16.noarch. restorecon -v ./my.cnf did nothing. Ah, I apologize. This is on F16 where I need to do a new build. selinux-policy-3.10.0-78.fc16 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 16. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/selinux-policy-3.10.0-78.fc16 Package selinux-policy-3.10.0-78.fc16: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing selinux-policy-3.10.0-78.fc16' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-2733/selinux-policy-3.10.0-78.fc16 then log in and leave karma (feedback). Any idea if this is ready and, if so, when this policy will be pushed to the updates repo? If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. This is still happening. rpm -q selinux-policy selinux-policy-3.10.0-80.fc16.noarch l -Z .my.cnf -rw-------. root root unconfined_u:object_r:mysqld_home_t:s0 .my.cnf SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/mysqladmin from getattr access on the file /root/.my.cnf. Plugin: catchall you want to allow mysqladmin to have getattr access on the .my.cnf fileIf you believe that mysqladmin should be allowed getattr access on the .my.cnf file by default. You should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Allow this access for now by executing: # grep mysqladmin /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp What AVC are you getting? My mistake and apologies. That was a leftover alert from selinux-policy-3.10.0-75.fc16.noarch Re-closing. |
