Open Kontact, fetch mail through Kmail. Leave Kontact open for a couple of hours and Kontact locks up. However this error pops up almost emmediatly after opening Kontact This is a serius problem and I believe it revolves around either the nepomunk server or stringy. I turned off the email cataloging and that seemed to help when it was first turned off but after rebooting the sytem the error returned as soon as I clicked the Kmail plugin of Kontact. Is it possible that one of these two services are trying to catalog incoming email before it is fully downloaded to the local machine and crashes when it hits what it believes is the EOF as down;loaded but it's really not the EOF but only part of the file?

I have some bug with my system after reboot. This bug found by abort as duplicate for me.

Comment 8 admin 2012-03-10 13:53:49 UTC
Bug was fixed in kde-runtime 4.8.1-2, I think, it's may be closed.

Comment 9 Rex Dieter 2012-03-10 13:59:59 UTC
The -2 build only had a minor cosmetic fix, unrelated to nepomuk, but if it helps, yay.
