Description of problem:

PackageKit-gtk-module disappeared from rawhide but for whatever reasons applications want to load that.  One of these, for example, is emacs.  Starting it elicits:

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module"

and it definitely does not want to see ...gtk-3.0/modules/libpk-gtk-module.so

If you think that it is possible to audit and fix all programs which want that "other pk-gtk-module" then more power to you.  Only one of these happens to be 'acroread', which unfortunately has some functionality not available in free programs, so this may turn out to be tad difficult.

If that failure is not important, and bringing back PackageKit-gtk-module is not a good idea, then maybe it is possible to supply a dummy "noop" module which would satisfy those whiners?

Still present on Fedora 17 beta.  Starting emacs in a terminal window produces the message

Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module".

Would be nice to make this go away somehow before Fedora 17 goes final.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 19 development cycle.
Changing version to '19'.

(As we did not run this process for some time, it could affect also pre-Fedora 19 development
cycle bugs. We are very sorry. It will help us with cleanup during Fedora 19 End Of Life. Thank you.)

Fixed a long time ago by building a gtk2 shared library too.
